Keith didn't design these themes, but he is making them available for free. These theme screens aren't downloadable
individually, but they can be downloaded as a grouped Zip
file.
Boris Boege of Skylab Mobile Systems writes to tell me that their
GPS mapping tool "Spot for Blackberry" now supports all Bluetooth enabled Blackberry devices in combination
with a Bluetooth GPS receiver.
Former versions were only compatible with BlackBerry 7520 and BlackBerry 7100i. Both of those
models have an integrated GPS receiver.
Now, Spot for BlackBerry has been rev'd to support the BlackBerry 7100 Series, the BlackBerry 8700 Series as well
as the BlackBerry 7250 and BlackBerry 7290.
"Spot for Blackberry" costs $49. A time limited demo version is available free for download.
If you have a BlackBerry 7100, and want to create your own ringtones, you may wish to consider downloading and
installing Millennium Studios' BlackBerry 7100 Series Ringtone Builder
Package.
The Package includes:
A digital video with ringtone creation instructions:
A link to software that helps you convert sound files from the .wav or ,mp3 format to the BlackBerry
format;
5 MB of hosting space on the Millennium Studio's ringtones web server, with uploading privileges for six
months;
10 free ringtones, pre-configured for your BlackBerry and available on Millennium Studios' web server for you
to download and install on your BlackBerry if you wish.

Now, I give RIMarkable their due props. Today, they've posted news of a promotion being run by BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion thru the end of this month. Buy any Bluetooth-enabled BlackBerry and you receive a free Motorola headset.
Bluetooth-enabled BlackBerry models include the 7100g, 7100i, 7100t, 7105t, as well as the 8700c, 7520, 7290 and 7250.
Here's how it works. Purchase your BlackBerry from your nearest BlackBerry retailer, go to http://www.blackberryfreeheadset.com, download the free headset coupon, and complete the form. Then, send in the form the old fashioned way- via the mail.
Maybe your BlackBerry 7100 has no distinctive ring tone. If so, I'd bet that many times, you have reached for it in a crowd of users whose handsets also lack distinctive ring tones.
A minor embarrassment, but one that would be avoidable if you downloaded at least one of two new BlackBerry-compatible Polyphonic Ringtones sets from Studio Cuts.
Both of these sets are compatible with BlackBerry 7xxx series models, and cost $5.99 ($5.39 for Club Handango members).
Click the Read link below this post, and you'll land on the Studio Cuts Vol 1 Polyphonic Ring Tones page on Handango.com
Rogers Wireless said today it has added the BlackBerry 7100g to its list.
Previously, the Canadian wireless carrier was primarily known for its BlackBerry 7100r. Now, they offer both.
In comments, Rogers Wireless vice president of Device and Product Management Raj Doshi seems to imply that the reasons for the addition are that they wanted to offer their customers more choices, and by golly, the BlackBerry 7100g sure is cool..
"We're committed to providing customers with a wide
variety of choice in how they communicate in both their professional and
personal lives," he said, "and the sleek, easy-to-use and feature rich BlackBerry 7100g is
an excellent addition to our line-up."
The BlackBerry 7100g is $399.99 (CN=$340.00 U.S.) with a three-year service agreement from Rogers
Wireless. With all possible rebates in tow, the carrier charges $199.99 (CN= $170.20 U.S.)for the BlackBerry 7100r.
In a typical app, you'd scan bar code labels into the Cordless Hand Scanner. The device's SocketScan keyboard emulation software would then direct your scanned data into your BlackBerry.
Available October 17 from the Socket website as well as varous Socket distribution channels, the Socket Cordless Hand Scanner CHS 7P will be priced at $728 list.
Rogers Wireless, Yahoo! and BlackBerry maker Research In
Motion (RIM) have just announced the availability of Yahoo!
Messenger on BlackBerry for Rogers Wireless customers.
To use Yahoo! Messenger on BlackBerry, Rogers Wireless customers will soon be able to visit www.blackberry.com/YahooDownload to install the Yahoo!
Messenger software onto a BlackBerry device and then set up a Yahoo! ID display
name
Rogers Wireless sells the BlackBerry 7100r, BlackBerry 7290, and BlackBerry 7780.
If you are an active stock market investor, you know that information is not only "power," but hopefully a path to equity.
StockTracker can help you manage both the information and equity parts of trading. It offers customizable, full-featured charts and market data, customizable portfolio tracking, and watch lists that send alerts to your BlackBerry when individual stocks you specify attain a specific per-share pricing level.
A 60-day subscription purchase of Stock Tracker costs $9.99, or $8.99 on Club Handango. You'll need a BlackBerry 71xx, running at least BlackBerry OS 3.8. But OS 4.0 wouldn't hurt.
Click the Read link below this post, and you'll be on track to the Stock Tracker page on Handango.com.

I can't really debate the notion that on average, Canadians have a more polite culture than those of us who happen to live south of the 49th parallel.
With that in mind, I've just read a study by the Boston-based Customer Respect Group, rating 12 major Canadian telecommunications firms on how they treat their online customers.
Responsiveness (quick and helpful responses to inquiries);
Privacy (respect for the privacy of the customer);
Attitude (customer-focus of website);
Transparency (open and honest policies); and
Principles (values and respects customer data)
Scores were compiled from points awarded to each graded website, in each category. The numbers were then crunched to form the Customer Respect Index that Rogers topped.
I've only seen photos so far, but sometimes you can tell a case by its cover.
Near as I can tell, this aluminum case for the BlackBerry 7100t (T-Mobile) and BlackBerry 7100r (Rogers Wireless) is one of those products that is functional, sturdy and beautiful.
A rare combination in hardware, as well as in other constructs of industry and biology.
Functional: cut-outs in the right places allow email and phone use even when the phone is closed. Also, the protective window guards against scratches.
Sturdy: It's made out of aircraft-grade aluminum, a material that I was sure glad for the last time I flew.
Beautiful: I know beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but take a look at the photo and tell me if you agree.
The case is listed at $39.99, but I've just found it on eAccess Solutions e-Store for $29.99. To go there, click the Read link directly below this post.
I was poking around on the BlackBerry Accessories site BlackBerryDen.com when I came across one of the prettiest darn BlackBerry cases I've ever seen.
Made of full-grain leather,the Bellagio Open Face Case for BlackBerry 7100 has a removable swivel belt clip. When your BlackBerry is in the case, you have access to all side controls, and can see the full screen.
This particular model is compatible with the BlackBerry 7100t (T-Mobile) and the BlackBerry 7100r (Rogers Wireless).
The Bellagio Open Face Case costs $34.95, but BlackBerryDeb.com has it for $29.95.
"Hmm- and I thought Bellagio was just that Las Vegas hotel with the fountain out front," BlackBerry Blogger and occasional LV visitor says to self.
